  • 16. Section 3. Candidates to be voted for at all municipal elections shall be nominated by a primary election and no other names shall be placed upon the general ballot, except those selected in the manner hereinafter prescribed. On and after February 22, 2005 the primary election for such nomination shell be held on the fourth Tuesday of February 2005 and on the fourth Tuesday in February every four (4) years thereafter. The primary election shall be held in the same place, so far as possible, and the polls will be opened and closed at the same hours as are required by the general election laws of the State of Michigan.
